The people behind the papers – Amrita Singh and Shubha Tole
View through CrossRef
Cajal-Retzius cells are one of the first neuronal cell types to arise in the brain. The progenitors giving rise to them produce and are exposed to high levels of WNT signalling during development, but it has been unclear how WNT signalling impacts Cajal-Retzius fate specification. In a new study, Amrita Singh, Shubha Tole and colleagues manipulate WNT signalling in mouse models to understand the impact on Cajal-Retzius cell fate. To find out more, we spoke to first author Amrita Singh and corresponding author Shubha Tole, Professor at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India.
