Kvantitativna analiza vsebnosti cvetnega prahu pravega kostanja (Castanea sativa Mill.) v medu, iztočenem v Sloveniji v letu 1999

V Sloveniji smo v letu 1999 naključno zbrali 129 vzorcev medu. Analizirali smo sestavo cvetnega prahu in ugotovili 44 različnih tipov pelodnih zrnc. Cvetni prah pravega kostanja je bil navzoč v 94,6 % vzorcev, povprečno 59,58 % na vzorec. 42 vzorcev medu je vsebovalo več kot 90 % zrnc cvetnega prahu pravega kostanja in jih lahko po tem merilu označimo kot čisti kostanjev med. Prisotnost kostanjevega cvetnega prahu je tipična za slovenski med in jo lahko uporabimo kot glavno merilo za razlikovanje slovenskega medu od medu, proizvedenega v srednjeevropskih državah severno od Slovenije.
