Lithuania in Figures

View through CrossRef
“Lithuania in Figures” is an electronic publication. It provides an overview of key economic and social indicators and their development in our country in the context of Lithuania and the European Union. The publication presents clear charts and diagrams that reveal how our society is changing: from population structure and education to agriculture, trade, transport, and national accounts indicators. This year’s edition is enriched with expert commentary and analytical insights that help not only to see the numbers but also to understand what they mean – what trends they reveal, what changes they indicate, and what opportunities they signal. “Lithuania in Figures” is an invitation to explore the country through data, facts, and transformations. Let’s discover how Lithuania is changing. Our particular thanks go to Prof. Dr Audronė Jakaitienė, Dr Daumantas Stumbrys, and Dr Lina Dindienė for their cooperation. Data provided by the Institute of Hygiene, the Employment Service, the State Social Insurance Fund Board, the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania, the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, the Information and Communications Department, the National Courts Administration, the Prisons Department, the Police Department, the Communications Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Lithuania and Eurostat are used in the publication.
