Figure of Christ

A figure of Christ issuing from a chalice in wood. Christ is shown as the Man of Sorrows. He wears a crown of thorns and has his arms crossed at the wrist. Wounds are visible on the hands and side. Only the upper part of the body is visible, the rest is covered by the chalice. The chalice has a round foot, the foot and base of the bowl is decorated with embossed curvilinear motifs. South German.
