Plain rim; low, wide bowl; rounded, P-shaped handle(s) below rim; low, concave stem; disc base. Red clay; diluted brown to black glaze. Interior painted except reserved tondo on floor centre with Athena throwing her spear, surrounded by two narrow bands; reserved band on inside of rim; outside of handle(s) painted; on both sides of body Hermes leading a procession of two figures and another figure driving a quadriga; behind the scene an ivy branch; one ivy leaf beneath each handle; base line below figures and two bands; lower body, stem and base painted; base edge and band on bottom reserved.
