Nowe specjalizacje w zawodzie bibliotekarza – data librarian, blended librarian, embedded librarian

New Specialisations within the Profession of the Librarian – Data Librarian, Blended Librarian, Embedded Librarian… The subject of the paper is the transformation of the librarian profession, especially the processes of shaping new specialisations and approaches to defining the role of librarians. The aim is to present competency profiles characteristic of contemporary varieties of the librarian profession, such as: data librarian, metadata librarian, linked data librarian, research librarian, blended librarian, embedded librarian, relational librarian and smart librarian. The method of analysis and criticism of the literature has been used. A systematic search was carried out in databases indexing journals with a high impact factor (IF) and a complementary search was conducted in order to find resources registered by the popular search engine of scientific resources Google Scholar. The collected material, including works published in 2013-2023, was then subjected to selection and qualitative analysis. As a result, conclusions have been formulated regarding the state of research on new specialisations within the librarian profession. Finally, the predictions concerning the further evolution of the profession have been made.
