SHREWS (MAMMALIA, SORICIDAE) IN SURGUT

View through CrossRef
Six species of Soricidae (Neomys fodiens, Sorex araneus, S. tundrensis, S. caecutiens, S. isodon, S. minutus) were trapped a period of four months during 2015–2017 years. Samples were collected from four different habitat types (allotment gardens, forest, bog and fl oodplain) in Surgut (the middle Ob region). Forest biotopes and out-of-town allotment gardens had the highest measurement of abundance and species of number. S. araneus was the most common species captured on all sites. Age structure and sex ratio of S. araneus and S. caecutiens characterized by dominance male both adult and young. Litter size in average 6,5 embryos per female. Almost 87% adults female of S. araneus, but merely 42% S. caecutiens was breeding.
