La observación como transgresión. La obra de Luisa Carnés

The recent interest for the Madrid author Luisa Carnés has motivated a series of studies about her life, but she has not been given the due recognition through the critical analysis of her literary work-—not only situating her active role in the historical process that she lived through, but also valuing her as what she indeed was: a novelist. It is precisely the purpose of this study to show the literary characteristics of an author like Carnés, around a key concept that stands out above any other in her narrative: the critical observation of her reality as a transgressive element, in light of the evolution of her literary production. My objective is to prove how Luisa Carnés reported the situation in Spain at the beginning of 20th century, and, more specifically, the situation of women, through pure observation.
