In the foreground riders riding inwards in the picture, a man in cut up, Burgundian costume, hat with on one side the bare girded with a twist and with the eating of two different feathers, h. hand lift and on it sits falcon with hood, in the belt hangs sword with S-shaped turned parerpole, on h. page a command hub (?). Behind the man a largely hidden rider’s mind, costume with shoulder arms and pipe collar, soft, high cobbled hat with twisted mound and feather. To the h. if the riders a dog and two hunters on foot, cut suits with pluderhoses, both wearing falcons on v. arm, the man to h. has a side swear and a dagger behind his back. To v. if the riders a bridge with two hunters, the front sitting on the bridge deck, falcon on the h. Hand, at the belt a hunting bag and a viper, the rear man in suit with a barrel collar, at the belt hunting bag, h. hand lift with lid bait to flying falcon. To v. hunters with their backs turned outwards, in v. hand rod, h. Hand lift and there is a false sitting, in the belt bag with a lid wing.
Middle party with from v. man with falcon on his hand, two men of which the h. Swings a lid wing, two falcons and two herons, one pair in the air and one on the ground, four dogs, two/three horsemen one of which releases a falcon, in the air above them three falcons and two herons, the middle falcon has cut it. To the h. about the riders a man with a rod.
Background with a town with a thaw and a tower, to h. Castle, in front of the castle are two ladies, shaded by a parasol, to the h. about the parasol carrier a walking man. To the h. about the riders at the middle party two men, the h. with a rod, to v. if the riders a carriage with a canvas of tent spanned by bow, on the drawing horse a rider. At the far end of v. two riders.
Below the picture: “Sic falcone cadit pennit trepidantibus icta” and “Dum generosa volat supra altas Ardea nubes.” At v. lower corner signature: “Ioes Strada.inuen.// Phls Gall.excud.”
Outside the printing surface written in pencil: 1578.
Mounted behind glass. Heavily profiled ornamental frame of pine, thickness 22 mm, painted with gold paint and a bowl, splash painted (?) middle section in gray. Internal profiling at most. On the back of the frame stamped, obscure brand name: “...........// GREVTUREGATAN 46, Tel. 60 86 01// STOCKHOLM.” On v. edge written with pencil: “810/30/11 31.4x23.7 las gr gold.” Two loops and in between tense wire, at h. eyelet hangs in string a label with metal shot hole and printed double frame and point lines, ink print: “Major Lindquist.”
