Analisis Semiotika Roland Barthes Jurnalisme Investigasi pada Film Ice Cold

Abstract. The film Ice Cold, which raises a controversial criminal case in Indonesia,is one of the objects of study because it features the Jessica Wongso case which isfull of intrigue, this film also illustrates how the elements of investigative journalismplay a role in presenting relevant perspectives and evidence to build an objectivenarrative. This research aims to find out how investigative journalism in thedocumentary film “Ice Cold: Murder, Coffee And Jessica Wongso” based on RolandBarthes' three stages of semiotic meaning, namely, Denotation, Connotation andMyth. The research method used is a qualitative method with a Roland Barthessemiotic approach. Data is obtained through a thorough observation process of thecontent of the movie. The paradigm applied in this research is constructivist becausethe constructivist paradigm is the most relevant paradigm to Roland Barthes'semiotics, which in this study focuses on looking at the reality and meaning of aresearch object. The results showed five scenes in the movie Ice Cold: Murder,Coffee, and Jessica Wongso that represent investigative journalism. This researchshows that each scene is accurately depicted in the data collection carried out by theBeach House journalist team when conducting investigative coverage using interviewtechniques, observation, and obtaining information from sources/witnesses to obtainthe right information Abstrak. Film Ice Cold yang mengangkat kasus kriminal kontroversial di Indonesiamenjadi salah satu objek kajian karena menampilkan kasus Jessica Wongso yangpenuh intrik, film ini menggambarkan pula bagaimana elemen-elemen jurnalismeinvestigasi berperan dalam menyajikan perspektif dan bukti yang relevan untukmembangun narasi yang objektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuibagaimana jurnalisme investigasi dalam film dokumenter “Ice Cold: Murder, CoffeeAnd Jessica Wongso” berdasarkan tiga tahapan pemaknaan semiotika Roland Barthesyaitu, Denotasi, Konotasi dan Mitos Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalahmetode kualitatif dengan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Data diperolehmelalui proses pengamatan menyeluruh terhadap isi film. Paradigma yangdiaplikasikan dalam penelitian ini ialah konstruktivis karena paradigma konstruktivismerupakan paradigma yang paling relevan dengan semiotika Roland Barthes yangdimana pada penelitian ini berfokus kepada penglihatan terhadap realitas dan maknasebuah objek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukan lima scene pada film Ice Cold: Murder, Coffee, and Jessica Wongso yang merepresentasikan jurnalismeinvestigasi. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa setiap scene tergambar secara tepatdalam pengumpulan data yang dilakukan tim jurnalis Beach House saat melakukanpeliputan investigasi baik menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, danmendapatkan informasi dari narasumber/saksi untuk memperoleh informasi yang tepat.
