Coinage in the territory of the Middle and Lower Dnipro and Southern Buh (second half of the 14th – first quarter of the 15th century)

View through CrossRef
The monograph, based on the analysis of numismatic material and scientific literature, highlights the process of formation and development of coinage in the lands of the Middle, Lower Dnieper and Southern Buzh in the second half of the 14th – first quarter of the 15th century. The evolution of coinage in the selected region can be clearly traced through several main stages. Today, we have unique evidence of the interaction of different coinage systems in Ukrainian lands. This synthesis was reflected in the stages of local coinage production and gave impetus to the formation of a distinctive tradition of local coinage. The publication will be useful for scientists, numismatists, museum workers, teachers, students of higher education institutions and everyone who is interested in medieval numismatics and the history of Ukraine.
