Corps étranger pelvien à trajet atypique chez une fille de 16 ans au Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Bouaké (Côte d’Ivoire)

The authors report the case of a foreign body accidentally introduced by a 16-year-old vaginal student when she falls from her height. Multiple attempts to be removed by the patient and then by medical personnel would have contributed to the total disappearance of the foreign body in the body. Medical imaging (ASP, ECHOGRAPHIE and ABDOMINAL CT) confirmed the diagnosis evoked by the clinic, and the pelvic topography of the foreign body. An emergency laparotomy allowed the extraction of the foreign body which was a pen with its cap located in its length in straight para-vesical. Post-operative suites were simple after 3 days of hospitalization with painkiller, antibiotic and drainage. Les multiples tentatives de retrait du corps étranger par la patiente à domicile puis par le personnel médical auraient favorisées sa disparition totale dans l’organisme. L’imagerie médicale (ASP, ECHOGRAPHIE et TDM ABDOMINALES) a confirmé le diagnostic évoqué par la clinique, et la topographie pelvienne du corps étranger dans le pelvis. Une laparotomie réalisée d’urgence a permis l’extraction du corps étranger qui était un stylo bille avec son capuchon situé dans sa longueur en para-vésicale droite. Les suites post-opératoires étaient simples après 3 jours d’hospitalisation avec antalgique, antibiothérapie et drainage. L’évolution fut favorable. L’intérêt de cette observation réside dans le caractère insolite du corps étranger, sa gravité, sa survenue chez un sujet jeune et le rôle de l’imagerie dans sa prise en charge.
