A Tree Nideri depicting Joseph, Mary and the Child Jesus in the foreground. Mary and Joseph both have a big smile. Little Baby Jesus clings to her mother Mary, one cannot see his face when it is pressed against Mary’s chest. Joseph and Mary are carved out of the same piece of wood as they are stuck with each other at the hip. Behind the figures it is a big cross with a star on it. On the cross are also small wooden plugs that could be the nails in which one crucified Jesus. At the very front of the sculpture there is an engraving of the sculptor, it says “* EWE * -65.” The sculpture is slightly cracked in Mary and Joseph in several places.
