Painting

Carl Fredrik Richter was active in Uddevalla in the years 1841 1856 according to his own order journal. The painting is likely to depict a young man in the Sjögren family in Uddevalla The donor received through testamentary gift from 1946 this portrait of a friend of the family, the folk school teacher Mimmi Jacobsson (1864 - 1953). She was a foster daughter in the Nordlöf family in Uddevalla. Sofia Sjögren, born in 1829, was the daughter of the tannery Maria Nordlöf Sjögren Gröning, born Ekelund, in her second marriage in 1823 to Per Sjögren.
