La fin de l’Opération Sangaris

Soumission à Epi-revel France launched, 5 december 2013 Sangaris Operation which aimed to protect civilians in Central African republic against important humanitarian threats and risk of genocide. The operation has been autorized by United Nations Security Council resolution 2127, 5 december 2013 and had to sustain african forces engaged in peace operations.Sangaris finished 31 october 2016 and was replaced by an european operation EUTM RCA to train central african soldiers. If french action contributed to save numerous lifes, it has been also challenged. Charges of sexual crimes were laid against french soldiers and legal proceedings have been initiated. Si l’action de la France a permis de sauver de nombreuses vies, elle a été néanmoins contestée.
