Karla Faye Tucker (November 18, 1959 to February 3, 1998) is one of the best‐known female death row inmates to be executed in the United States of America. The crime that Tucker and her male accomplice were convicted of was a double murder with a pickax. Her case gained enormous attention from the media, because of her religious transformation and her gender. Tucker was executed by lethal injection in 1998 in Texas.
