On the morphological variability of Hister shanghaicus Marseul, 1861 (Coleoptera: Histeridae)

View through CrossRef
In Histerid identification and morphological studies alike, the configuration of dorsal elytral striae has been a widely used important characteristic. The variability of dorsal elytral striae in Hister shanghaicus Marseul, 1861 has been observed when examining multiple specimens collected from Gutian Natural Server (Guangdong Province) and Jiulianshan Natural Server (Jiangxi Province), southern China. The species is herein for the first time reported from the Jiangxi Province (southern China).
