Luthers Epitaph in Jena

The epitaph for Martin Luther should first only be provisionally housed in the St. Michael’s Church in Jena. However, there has never been a transport to Wittenberg. Philipp Melanchthon wrote the memorial text on the grave monument. The additions from 1571 are recorded on the copper engraving. Martin Bernigeroth, founder of a family of copper bars in Leipzig, created this in the time of baroque. (Museum Schloss Moritzburg Zeitz)
