Six Sections of an Architectural Frieze

View through Harvard Museums
Architectural frieze decorated in relief. Stylized, continuous vine scroll with alternating leaves and grape clusters. Birds pick at grapes and leaves. A plain, narrow fillet forms the border along one edge of the blocks. The limestone is in a serious state of deterioration, and is in the process of disintegrating into powder. It is difficult to make out the birds along the frieze.
