Das interdisziplinäre Europainstitut der Universität Basel hat in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Wiener Ludwig Boltzmann Institut für europäische Geschichte und Öffentlichkeit am 5. Januar 2007 zu einer Tagung eingeladen, an der aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln zwei geplante Europamuseen und die allgemeinere Frage nach dem Bedarf und der Bedeutung solcher Museen diskutiert wurden.
