New Scenopinidae (Diptera) from Nigeria

The six new species of scenopinids described and the new record noted bring to eleven the known Scenopinidae from Nigeria. Four of the new species belong to the genus Scenopinus, the fifth to the genus Metatrichia and the sixth to the genus Seguya. The new record is Prepseudatrichia mateui Kelsey, previously reported to the North and West. Keys are provided for he identification of Nigerian species of Scenopinidae.
