Calcium-binding proteins form a large family and have many functions within the cell, including decoding cellular signals. This is an active and expanding area of research, with new and important discoveries continually being made. Biochemists will find this book particularly useful, as will biologists in many fields in which the calcium-binding proteins are involved, such as neuroscience.
