Transforming social media with Lens Studio and the magic of Augmented Reality

This project explores the use of Augmented Reality [AR] on social media
using Snapchat's Lens Studio, following the discontinuation of Spark AR
in January 2025 [Meta Spark, 2024]. An interactive prototype was
developed to evaluate the feasibility, reach, and reception of immersive
experiences on Snapchat. The narrative-based research documents
everything from technical decisions to testing and validation with real
users. The results show that Lens Studio enables the creation of engaging
and functional content, with great potential for brands, creators, and
educators, establishing itself as a solid alternative in the development of
social AR.
