METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH TO SELECTING ARTILLERY GUNS FOR REARMAMENT ARTILLERY UNITS
View through CrossRef
The article considers a methodological approach to the selection of artillery guns for the purpose of rearmament of artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which, by taking into account partial indicators of the level of development of artillery guns and the level of financial costs for their purchase and operation, allows for determining the advantages of some guns over others in terms of the efficiency-cost ratio.
It is shown that the current use of various types of artillery guns to a certain extent complicates the organization of logistical support for artillery units, training of service personnel, etc. Therefore, there is a need to optimize the list of towed and self-propelled guns that will be equipped with artillery units of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the future.
Formulas are provided for calculating the values of complex indicators of the level of combat and operational capabilities, as well as the capabilities for ensuring the further maintenance of an artillery gun, which is considered as an option for rearmament, and the cost of an artillery gun at the stages of its life cycle. A methodological apparatus for determining the deviation of the level of development of an alternative sample from the reference one, as well as for comparing artillery guns by level of development, is also included.
The use of this methodological apparatus allows for forming a vision on the directions of rearmament of artillery units of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will be used during the development of the Strategy for the development of Missile Forces and Artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the defense program for the development of capabilities for missile forces and artillery capabilities. In addition, it allows for the justification of operational and tactical requirements for promising artillery guns.
