Emile Staub-Terlinden Mannedorf Switzerland (by 1923-at least 1938) [2] sold; [to Wildenstein and Co. New York (c. 1942-1945) ] sold; to Maurice Wertheim (1945-1951) bequest; to Fogg Art Museum 1951. Notes: [1] Distel cites Monet notebook on sale to Deudon "pour le compte de M. Hoschedé " who had gone bankrupt. [2] Seligmann archives note presence of this painting in Staub-Terlinden's home during 1930 visit. Staub-Terlinden put paintings on deposit with Wildenstein some time after 1938 exhibition Wildenstein purchased c. 1942-43 per documents in Foreign Funds Control Investigative Reports.
