Take Christmas soup - a Christmas game - it did during the Christmas holidays before the 19th century. In the cottage, straw was carried in on Christmas Eve. It was also made from straw this time that Christmas bucks were made and the necessary “cloths” (hens).
To “take Christmas soup” it was made that the children left in the straw and with their feet tried to remove the straw hen from the floor.
