Shino Pyramid Kantharos
View through Harvard Museums
A broad-mouthed cup on a conical base with two large ear-like handles that extend from near the base of the cup to above the mouth of the cup. The surface is mostly covered with a thick, glossy white glaze that has separated into large blobs, leaving the red stoneware beneath it exposed. Also visible near the foot and mouth, respectively, are small patches of glossy black glaze and a cratered matte white glaze.
