HVAC optimization assessment tool

View through CrossRef
As heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) in cleanrooms accounts for a significant proportion of scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions from manufacturing sites across the industry, finding quick and low-complexity ways to improve the efficiency of existing HVAC systems is an effective way to reduce environmental impact. For those organizations who have transitioned to renewable sources of energy and heat, optimizing HVAC systems will also reduce rising energy costs. The HVAC Optimization Assessment Tool allows users to identify low capital expenditure (CAPEX) opportunities to reduce the energy consumption and therefore environmental impact of HVAC systems. The assessment tool was built utilizing the combined knowledge and expertise of HVAC and sustainability specialists from across biomanufacturers, suppliers, contract manufactures and technology providers. The HVAC Optimization Assessment Tool provides advice on reducing energy consumption by introducing processes to optimize; heat recovery, filter performance, heating, cooling, air changes, humidification and dehumidification.
