Lord Chomondeley: beside him the little Lord Mount Edgecumbe/ the bassoonist Lord Carlisle, the triangle Marquis of Abercorn/ the bugler Earl Derby, the lady in the belcher cloth Lady Salisbury/ the violonist Earl of Salisbury, the singers Miss Anguish and Miss Carpenter/ the fat lady Lady Buckinghamshire/ the dancers: the Prince of Wallis, who clasps his right hand about/ his former grandmotherly mead Lady Jersey/ but gives his left to Mistress Fitzherbert; the fourth/ concealed singer is Obrist Greville./ The harlequin is the beau Skeffington/ The little buffoon is the hunchbacked Scottish Lord Kirkudbright/ The background shows two notorious and under all insult humiliated old goats 1.) old Q or the Duke of Queens-/ bury 2.) with the long nose and the Swede's head Colonel Hanger; they have/ been joined by unknown wenches who take subordinate roles/ in the picnic.
