Memo/annual calendar of 1944 by Werner Schmiedgen. In the diary, Schmiedgen describes his personal experiences of war: marches through Bulgaria, Tessaloniki, Partisanendasein, English POW in Africa; counts letters he sends home. In the calendar are also the bombings on Leipzig (19 February 1944, 20 February 1944). The following are also entered: Addresses of several people; list on which days he sent a letter or postcard to his wife in 1946. In front of the back cover are various notes in the book: calendar sheets with meanings, poems, songs.
