The charity campaign carried out by members of the Czech gymnastic "Sokol" (Czech for a "falcon") clubs was aimed at providing humanitarian assistance to the South Slavs during the First Balkan War of 1912–1913. It is regarded as a form of so-called non-political politics and a reflection of the Czech nationalist mindset.
