Performance Evaluation of Quality of Service (QoS) in VANET Environment

Abstract
Recently, technological changes affected the global economic structure, and helped creating transformations in a way organizations and countries are coordinating transportation, production, investment, and developing new products and processes. Therefore, vehicular ad hoc Network is quite essential with characteristics it provides in terms of emergency and safety. Moreover, due to diverse benefits of applying VANET in urban cities, and because of its wide role in technical fields, the usage of VANET supports in enhancing intelligent transportation system (ITS). ITS is considered one of main significant tools for organizing traffic in cities. It works to expand the efficiency of the transportation and traffic Network. Additionally, routing protocols are so vital when it comes to automobiles Communication. Each protocol has different forms of use to achieve accurate Communication between entities. According to high mobility in VANET and importance of exchanging real time information, abundant routing protocols have been proposed, including quality of service routing protocols. Despite routing protocols have some limitations, they can solve many issues related to routing methods. This paper discusses performance, techniques, classifications and issues related to QoS routing and protocols in VANET. It as well identifies certain of vehicles’ attributes by employing sumo package’s tool.
