Automatic Headlight Dimmer and Brightness Control System
View through CrossRef
Introduction:
Conventional headlight systems must be operated manually, with drivers
alternating between high and low lights based on the environment. Nevertheless, this human intervention
is not always prompt or efficient, which can result in drivers failing to adjust their headlights
for the best visibility or unintentionally glaring at incoming cars. A fully automatic headlight dimmer
and brightness control system has been designed in the present work to overcome this difficulty.
Methods:
The proposed technology dynamically adjusted the headlight brightness by using sensors
to measure the amount of ambient light and the presence of other cars. The technology ensured the
driver of the vehicle to have the best visibility while reducing glare for other drivers by automatically
adjusting the headlights.
Results:
The automatic headlight dimmer accomplished its intended functions across various environments,
especially when operating in urban and rural zones with different traffic conditions and
illumination configurations.
Discussion:
This intelligent modification guaranteed adherence to traffic laws, lowered driver fatigue,
and increased road safety. The system provided an easy-to-use interface for customisation and
smoothly interacted with the car's current electronics.
Conclusión:
An effective way to increase driver convenience and vehicle safety has been provided
in this work in the form of an automated headlamp dimmer and brightness adjustment system. The
results of this study may be used as a patent to provide knowledge on the various kinds of automated
lighting control systems.
