THE EFFORTS OF THE INDONESIAN ISLAMIC STUDENT MOVEMENT ORGANIZATION (PMII) RAYON BAHUREKSO IN SHAPING THE CHARACTER OF STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY

Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII) UIN KH. Abdurrahman Wahid or commonly called PMII Rayon Bahurekso is a student organization that upholds positive values (good character) for students who are continuing their studies in Pekalongan. The type of research used in this research is field research. Field research is a type of research that aims to solve practical problems in society. This study uses a qualitative approach, in which researchers will reveal phenomena regarding character education, especially the character of responsibility for PMII Rayon Bahurekso management and members in every activity they hold. Some of PMII Rayon Bahurekso's efforts in building character are by giving or holding workshops, seminars, training, or other activities regarding the character of student responsibilities in an organization. In addition, the activeness of the management and members also influences the creation of the character of responsibility. The board of course must be more active than the members because the board has bigger responsibilities and this has a positive impact on its members. So there are several indicators regarding responsibility and based on the information submitted by informants, namely many of the board are still burdened in carrying out their responsibilities organization due to the influence of other students who did not join the organization. Apart from that, there are also several administrators and members of PMII Rayon Bahurekso who are studying while working so this causes them to be unable to carry out their responsibilities to the fullest. The supporting factors for the formation of responsibility at PMII Rayon Bahurekso are the internal organizational atmosphere that supports and through several activities such as cadre, mapaba, yasin tahlil, and others so that administrators and members can maximize the responsibilities they carry.
