Yafo, Ha-Teʻuda Ha-Aduma Street

In January-March 2017, a salvage excavation was conducted in a plot on the corner of Yehuda Ha-Yammit Street and Ha-Teʻuda Ha-Aduma Street in Yafo (Permit No. A-7902; map ref. 176549-613/662053-132), prior to the construction of an underground parking lot. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the Ahuzot Ha-Hof Company, Ltd., was directed by Y. Arbel (field photography) and A. Dayan, with the assistance of Y. Amrani, E. Bachar and R. Abu Halaf (administration), L. Rauchberger and D. Golan (preliminary inspections), A. Peretz (field photography), R. Mishayev and M. Kahan (surveying and drafting), the Griffin Company (aerial photography), M. Johananoff (metal detecting), S. Farkash (identification of painted decoration on plaster), D. Abu Salah and A.
