Archival collection Magistrat Ljutomer (1535–1914)

The contribution provides an overview of documents, kept by the Regional Archives Maribor as part of the collection Magistrat Ljutomer, it explains their archival description and draws attention to some characteristic or particularly interesting documents. The archival collection comprises 116 boxes or, rather, 11.6 running metres of materials that were produced between 1535 and 1914. Whereas most documents relate to the market-town administration and judiciary, some also convey data on matters concerning health, construction, church, school, handicrafts, police, fire service, military, and so on.
