Abstract This new book is the product of a six years association between the Willem Pompe Institution for Criminal Law and Criminology at the University of Utrecht and the Law Schools of the University of Wales at Aberystwyth and Cardiff. It contains eighteen comparative studies on criminal justice in the Netherlands, England, and Wales, concentrating on the central themes of the convergence of the adversarial - British - and inquisitorial - Dutch - system of justice and the increasing `Europeanization' of each by an ever-increasing body of European law.
