<b>Analysis of Industry 4.0 Taxonomies</b>

The use of advanced digital technologies in manufacturing processes has been called Industry 4.0. Given the significant impact it has had on industrial performance, it has been the object of several studies by the academic community. Some of these works try to represent this field by proposing taxonomies. However, a study of these taxonomies shows a diversity in scopes and viewpoints. Therefore, the authors aim to analyze these taxonomies to provide a basis for a global taxonomy. The results show taxonomies related to technology, specific sectors or themes, the main research areas identified in the literature, and others oriented to the implementation of Industry 4.0. This work contributes to the understanding of the I4.0 concept and its characteristics, shedding light on possible topics that might be convenient to address in future research or for companies interested in transitioning to it.
