Zwei Papyrusarchive von Weberfamilien aus Oxyrhynchus belegen, dass die Söhne von Webern zur Ausbildung und Spezialisierung zu anderen Webermeistern in die Lehre gegeben wurden. Nur in den Lehrverträgen, die einem derartigen beruflichen Netzwerk entstammen, findet sich eine Vertragsklausel, die Phlm 13 ähnelt. Darüber hinaus weisen auch die Papyrusbelege für ταρσικάριος darauf hin, dass Paulus von Tarsus seine Mission entlang einem Netzwerk von Webern organisierte.
