A finely carved wooden linstock with lead tip near the handle. Dimensions: length 42.5 cm, max. width 4 cm. Kept at the Dutch National Maritime Archaeological Depot at Museum Batavialand. Excavated from shipwreck Burgzand Noord 9, nicknamed the two cannon wreck, an armed merchant vessel found in the Dutch Wadden Sea near the island of Texel, the Netherlands. Wreck date: 3rd quarter 17th century.
