Professional Photography in Częstochowa after 1939

In the paper Fotografia częstochowska w latach 1847–1939 Andrzej Zembik presented beginnings of professional and amateur photography in Czestochowa as well as its growth till 1939. He described photographers, their activities, affiliation in the profession organizations as well as conditions of studios they worked in. The hereby paper is continuation of this subject focusing on term from the II World War till current times. The first part refers to the history of the profession organizations, especially Guild of Various Crafts and Entrepreneurship, liquidated this year. The second part presents historical view on the state and personal status as well as names of the owners of photo shops in Częstochowa, especially those photographers, who run their studios before and after the war till our times. There are presented 3 studios, still existing: zakłady fotograficzne: „STELLA”, „Grzebielucha”, „Wiśniewski” and 2 recently closed studios with significant tradition and history in Czestochowa: zakłady fotograficzne „Majchrowski” i „Zgórecki.
