The effect of mother tongue on learning English as a second language

يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحليل الصعوبات التي يواجها متعلمو اللغة الانجليزية كلغة ثانية، ولا سيما الناطقون باللغة العربية، مع التركيز على أثر اللغة الأم في عملية اكتساب اللغة الثانية. يستعرض الباحث أبرز النظريات المفسرة لتعلم اللغة، متل فرضية التحليل التقابلي، وفرضية اللغة البينية، اضافة إلى نظرية المراقب موضحا دورها في تفسير الاخطاء اللغوية الشائعة لدى المتعلمين.
اعتمدت الدراسة منهجاً وصفياً تحليلياً يعتمد على أسالب النوعية لتحديد المشكلات اللغوية والتربوية التي يواجهها الطلاب الليبيون أثناء تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية. مما يستدعي توظيف نظريات اكتساب اللغة في تصميم مناهج تعليمية أكثر فعالية. وتؤكد الدراسة أهمية الوعي بعوامل اللغوية والنفسية المرتبطة بالتداخل اللغوي لتحسين أداء المتعلمين وتطوير عملية تعليم اللغة الإنجليزية للناطقين بالعربية.
