Prevalencia de los programas turísticos en México

View through CrossRef
This project is based on analyzing what a tourism program is and why it is so important to implement it for promoting the tourism sector in Mexico. First, it is essential to have a deep understanding of the subject because Mexico currently lacks comprehensive public records or documentation for descriptive or explanatory studies that can help determine the impact of tourist activity, whether in terms of improvement or preservation of destinations. Second, it involves comparing past tourist programs in Mexico to the ones still in effect today, like the Programa de Pueblos Mágicos (Magical Towns Program). The research problem was obtained through a cause-and-effect analysis that contemplates the implementation of tourism programs in Mexico, leading to the formulation of a research question that addresses support. This analysis makes it possible to identify the general and specific problems, which in this case is the scant government support for the tourism sector. On the other hand, the problem stems from evaluating the lack of society awareness about places that can be visited within Mexico, since this reflects their low involvement in this activity. In addition, information from the research instruments (surveys) will be analyzed to verify if the hypothesis aligns with the results regarding whether government support is important for tourism programs in Mexico and to know which are the advantages and disadvantages for the development of tourism and economy in Mexico.
