Studi Kontribusi Self Efficacy terhadap Work Family Enrichment pada Karyawan Hotel

Abstract. Work and family life are two major aspects of adulthood that strongly influence each other. Self-efficacy refers to an individual’s belief in their ability to plan and execute actions to accomplish tasks and achieve goals (Bandura, 1997). According to the work-family enrichment theory (Greenhaus & Powell, 2006), positive experiences in one role can enhance the quality of another role. This study aimed to examine the contribution of self-efficacy to both directions of work-family enrichment among married employees of 4 and 5 star hotels. The research applied a quantitative population study design involving 102 married hotel employees. Measurement tools included the General Self-Efficacy Scale (Schwarzer et al., 1995) and the Work-Family Enrichment Scale (Carlson et al., 2006), adapted for this study. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) through SmartPLS software. Findings revealed that self-efficacy contributed 61.8% to work-to-family enrichment and 45% to family-to-work enrichment.
Abstrak. Pekerjaan dan kehidupan keluarga adalah dua aspek penting dalam fase dewasa yang saling memengaruhi. Self efficacy didefinisikan sebagai keyakinan individu terhadap kemampuannya dalam mengatur tindakan untuk menyelesaikan tugas dan mencapai tujuan (Bandura, 1997). Work-family enrichment (Greenhaus & Powell, 2006), pengalaman positif dalam satu peran dapat memperkuat kualitas peran lainnya dalam dua arah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kontribusi self efficacy terhadap kedua arah work-family enrichment pada karyawan hotel bintang 4 dan 5 yang sudah menikah. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan populasi 102 responden, menggunakan General Self Efficacy Scale (Schwarzer et al., 1995) dan skala Work-Family Enrichment (Carlson et al., 2006) yang telah diadaptasi. Analisis dilakukan dengan Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) melalui SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan self efficacy berkontribusi 61,8% terhadap work to family enrichment dan 45% terhadap family to work enrichment.
