AbstractThe normal healing of a wound requires the body to progress through the three phases of wound repair: inflammation, tissue formation, followed by tissue remodeling. In patients with hidradenitis suppurativa, this normal wound healing progression may be impaired at various timepoints due to comorbid diseases, concomitant medical therapies, and disease‐specific considerations. These factors can impact both surgical and nonsurgicalnonsurgical hidradenitis wounds. Comprehensive wound care in hidradenitis, therefore, involves a thorough assessment of potential contributory factors and adjustments of modifiable factors.
