This book contains the theoretical part of the doctoral thesis titled \"Company Rating: Theoretical Background and Methodology\" and the updated version of the methodology used in its application. The book covers fundamental concepts such as the definition, characteristics, development, purposes, benefits, and drawbacks of rating. It also examines topics such as types of rating, rating of issuances, and rating of issuers. The aim of the book is to provide a general understanding of company rating. This study includes the results of a doctoral thesis conducted in the Accounting and Finance Doctoral Program of the Department of Business Administration at Marmara University Social Sciences Institute.
