On a mound in the shadowed left foreground two figures kneel before a shrine. A wall and two trees lead off to the far left. The rest of the picture is in bright sunlight. A cliff top road on the right snakes around to some ruins. A lone man walks along the road with two laden horses. In the distance we can see more mountains and a body of water. Some birds fly above the ruins in a mostly blue sky. Unsigned. On reverse in pen on a label 'Given to Katherine S. King 21nd March 1882 by W.H.H.(?)
