Portrait of soldiers at the bridge

View through Europeana Collections
A group of military men, including several officers, stand by the bridge. This is probably a renovation group. On the left, the soldiers hold a bucket, a paddle?, a horizontal and a saw. Next to the visible weir. Officers hold canes in their hands. Two wheelbarrows stand on the right. Further visible boards, beams, ladder based on the bridge span. Behind the soldiers under the bridge are structures from metal rods. At the top on the bridge stands a soldier with a horse. (awers)
