Om natur og miljø og sånn (2018) by environmental journalist Ole Mathismoen and illustrator Jenny Jordahl is a collection of one-page comics from Aftenposten junior where the characters Ole and Jenny talk about different themes related to nature and the environment. In this article, I investigate how the text type dialogue is used to present such issues for young readers. I argue that the dialogue is a text type with a great potential for creating texts that are dialogical in the Bakhtian sense, and according to research on education for sustainable development, a dialogical presentation of environmental questions is important for preparing children and young people to meet the challenges of the future. However, Grønne greier is distinctly a monological text. The two characters represent the same perspective on environmental issues, and alternative perspectives are largely excluded. The consequence of this may be that the book counteracts its own stated ambitions to inspire and teach children and young people how to live more environmentally friendly lives
