PORTRY By Ebba von Eckermann (1888-1914), daughter of Wilhelmina von Hallwyl. Knee image, trol. executed posthumously after photography, in pastel on paper. Signed in the upper right corner. A. The depicted woman was the grandson of the Count couple von Hallwyl and the daughter of their eldest daughter Ebba. She died at the age of 25 in tuberculosis in 1914. The portrait is probably made after her death, after a photograph from 1910 that is in the museum’s collections. The artist Anna Fickweiler was German, but lived in Sweden for several years in 1900 - the last half of the century. She was active here as an artist and painted portraits in pastel. By close friendship with the von Eckermann family, several people came out of this lineage and from its circle of acquaintances to be deported by Fickweiler. She was often staying at Södertuna in Södermanland under Ebba von Eckermanns, mother of this late young woman, patronage. Many of her orderers also heard at home on the estate and farms in this landscape.
